We are excited to announce that X-Dance will take place in both Park City and Salt Lake City in 2011. There are several new PARTNERSHIPS with industry giants that will be announced. The opportunities surrounding this year's festival will be HUGE and there will be immense attention from the industry and media. 2011 will be a great year to participate as a filmmaker and an attendee.

What's different about X-Dance 2011?

X-Dance Film/Music Tour announced: Participants will be able to participate in the X-D Tour that will roll out nation wide with our new partners giving filmmakers additional marketing and exposure.

X-Dance Red Bull Screening Series: Nominated and winning films will have the opportunity to be screened individually in the monthly screening series at the new Red Bull screening room in Los Angeles. These events will be covered heavily by the media and the action sports industry and films are screened to SRO crowds.
Expanding Festival competition categories: This year we are teaming up with new Mega partnerships (TBA soon) to help you market your films on a global viral platform. The new categories will be for trailers, film segments and short POV films. This will increase the amount of marketing content and traffic on our web and social networking sites that will be available virally.

Submit your film now and make plans to attend!

· All entries must go through the X-Dance website (www.x-dance.com)
· You can pay entry fees directly online. Everything you need to know is on the site, including contact info if you have any other questions.

· We are requiring attendance by either the filmmaker or some other representatives (athlete, producer, etc...) that were directly involved in the making of the film. This will make a huge difference for you, your film and X-Dance.

2010 Big Winners:

Mount St. Elias, took top honors winning both "Best Film" and "Best Adventure Film" categories. Austrian director Gerald Salmina knocked this film out of the ****ing park with five nominations and winning two of the biggest awards! It's the first time that an Adventure Film has ever taken home the top honors at X-Dance as it was the judge's unanimous favorite.

Taylor Steele was the biggest individual winner with The Drifter, winning for "Best Sound Track" and Modern Collective, winning "Best Core Film" and Rob Machado attending and receiving "Athlete Of The Year" at the event.

The stunning visuals of the film Signatures won for "Best Cinematography" and its director Nick Waggoner won the coveted "Emerging Filmmaker Award."

X-Dance received hundreds of entries from all over the world and only 40 of the top films made the competition last year. Half of the submissions were from outside the U.S. which makes X-Dance truly an international festival. The quality and competition should be just as incredible this year!

Last year's judges were some of the rock stars of the filmmaking world. Legendary Warren Miller and Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Don Burgess participated and will be returning again this year!

X-Dance truly believes that the filmmakers in action sports are the most cutting-edge filmmakers in all of the entertainment industry! We believe that there will be a break-out film that will come through the X-Dance Film Festival that will be the blockbuster which sends action sports filmmaking into Hollywood and mainstream recognition.

If you don't have a film for this year's festival, I'm sure you know friends and colleagues who do. Spread the word and come out to support this industry while enjoying the best action sports films in the world.

Be a part of X-Dance─the greatest Action Sports Film Festival on the planet.
