The Coolest Way to Watch the Sunset

Watch the MOUNTAIN WEEKEND SHOW and UNPLUGGED this weekend for an up-close-and-personal look at the amazing snow they have at Powder Mountain!

--------

Powder Mountain Resort is pleased to announce the latest addition to its Mountain Adventure Center with the introduction of a new Sunset Snowcat Tour.  The guided tours take guests to mountain peaks between 8,600 and 9,100 feet all with unobstructed views of Ogden Valley, the Wasatch Mountains and beyond to the Uinta Mountain Range.  The tour will culminate with alfresco dining while watching the sun set over the Wasatch Mountains.  On the return trip, moonlight turns the snow covered slopes into a shimmering wonderland adding a romantic touch to the adventure.  This is a great way to introduce the non-skier to the beauty of Powder Mountain and for those familiar with our mountain a chance to experience a part of the mountain few have seen before.

“Viewing the beauty of the snow covered peaks and valleys, pines, aspens and natural rock formations, and looking over the outlook into the Ogden Valley below from the warmth and comfort of our custom built snowcat cab is a real treat,” remarked Gregg Greer, President and CEO of Powder Mountain Resort Management.  “Doing all that and then getting to see the sun set over the Wasatch Range past the Great Salt Lake and into the west desert is a once in a lifetime experience. We are very happy to be able to offer this unique experience to our guests.”

Tours depart from the Mountain Adventure Center at Powder Mountain one and a half hours prior to sunset. The cost is $75 for adults and $25 for children 12 and younger.  Reservations are required.  Tours are limited to four to 10 guests.  Arrangements can be made for private parties and customized tours.  Tours are subject to weather and snow conditions and availability. Call 801-745-3772 Ext 181 between 9am – 4pm for reservations.
