The Park City Sunrise Rotary Club is planning construction of a pavilion for the children and families of the Parkside Apartments on Kearns Boulevard.  The construction of the Pavilion is planned for this summer and will be accomplished through the volunteer labor of Park City Sunrise Club members and the generous help of many local contractors and building materials suppliers who are donating much of the materials, equipment and labor.

Currently about 200 residents, including 120 young children, live in the Parkside Apartments – without a place to gather, play, participate in learning classes or after-school activities. Architect and Park City Sunrise Rotary member Brad Mimlitz, Park City Architecture, is designing the pavilion and coordinating the help of contractors and materials donations.  The pavilion will be constructed utilizing an innovative new “rammed earth” architecture.  This project will be a benefit the community for many years to come.

To help fund the pavilion, the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club is holding its second annual “Reverse Opportunity Drawing” with a suggested Grand Prize of up to $10,000!  Tickets are $100 each and include admission for two to the event, buffet dinner and live entertainment featuring the Joy & Eric duo.  A Reverse Opportunity Drawing works just like a sweepstakes drawing except in reverse.  As each name is drawn from the barrel, they are eliminated from the list.  The tension and excitement builds as each name is drawn until the final name is pulled and becomes the Grand Prize winner.  New this year, the names that have been drawn and eliminated from Grand Prize eligibility will be placed in a secondary “hat” and drawn periodically throughout the evening to receive fabulous door prizes.  Door prizes will include gift certificates from Park City Mountain Resort, Easy Street Steak & Seafood, Amatsu Spa at The Sky Lodge, Mountain Body Spa & Cosmetic Deli, The Jeremy Gold & Country Club and complimentary 1-Year Subscriptions from
