DEER VALLEY RESORT, PARK CITY, UTAH (August 15, 2008) – Deer Valley Resort’s food and beverage operation has long been lauded and appreciated for being on the cutting edge of what is fresh, savory and delicious. Now the Resort has created homemade gourmet mustards, which are served at some of the Resort’s ten on-mountain restaurants. One of the creations, the Fireside Fig Mustard, is now available for purchase through Deer Valley’s Signatures stores (in person, telephone or order online at

“Last winter, our chefs created homemade gourmet mustards to accompany the raclette and associated condiments that we serve at our Fireside Dining at the Empire Canyon Lodge,” says Jodie Rogers, executive chef for both Deer Valley’s Snow Park and Empire Canyon Lodges. “These mustards beautifully complement the dried and cured Italian and Swiss meats, raclette cheese, cornichons, house-cured onions and freshly baked breads that we serve at Fireside Dining. The Fireside Fig Mustard has become so very popular with our guests that we decided to package it and make it available for purchase to everyone.”

The Fireside Fig Mustard is made with brown and yellow mustard seed, Black Mission figs, vinegar,

sugar, salt and pepper. Four-ounce jars sell for $5.75 at Deer Valley Signatures stores, which also sell other Deer Valley gourmet food items such as Deer Valley Jumbo Cookie Mix, Deer Valley Turkey Chili mix, Deer Valley cilantro lime glaze, Deer Valley sherry pecan vinaigrette and Deer Valley grilling marinade.

The three Signatures store locations are: 625 Main Street, open daily throughout the year, or Silver Lake Village, open daily June 13th through Labor Day.
