WHY: Since No More Homeless Pets in Utah began in 2000, there has been a nearly 40% decrease in statewide euthanasia. The E-metric, or number of animals killed per 1,000 human population, once stood at 21.7. Today the E-Metric has lowered to 12.5 and continues to drop with support from Utah’s caring communities.  More information is available at www.utahpets.org or by calling 1-866-UTAH-PETS.
