Celebrate the summer solstice with an al fresco dining experience while listening to live musical performances. The Park City Jazz Foundation and the Park City Restaurant Association have once again joined forces to present the 2nd annual Savor the Summit event, June 19-20th, 2009. Utilizing the unique backdrop of historic Main Street, Savor the Summit will highlight Park City’s unique culinary offerings and is compliment by an exciting line up of local and national music talents. “This event is a great kick-off to the summer season in Park City. Last year’s event, exceed all our expectations and we expect the same again this year” says Ginger Ries co-producer of this event.
The two-day event will include The Grande Table, Friday, June 19th, 6:00-10:00 p.m., on historic Main Street, Park City. Dinner will be served at one long continuous table set down the middle of Main Street, creating the most unique dining experience in town. Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic, but free to the general public to listen to musical sounds of the Crescent Super Band, Voodoo Orchestra and The Little Big Band, witness the Grande Table, and to visit the businesses of Main Street.Dinner reservations at The Grande Table can be made with individual participating restaurants. This evening was a huge success in 2008 and quoted as “being the best thing to happen on Main Street since the Olympics” and promises to be a sell-out again this year.
Saturday, June 20th Savor the Sounds street concert at the Wasatch Brew Pub parking lot featuring New Orleans rock & blues artist Anders Osborne. Enjoy the beer and wine garden as well as featured cocktails by High West Distillery. Tickets will cost $20 and can be purchased at any participating Grande Table restaurant, online at www.ArtTix.org, or in person at the Park City Jazz Foundation. Participating restaurants promise to offer enticing dinner & concert packages so patrons can “make a night of it” on Main Street.
