The 2008 Park City Showcase of Homes, presented by the Park City Area Home Builders Association, will display innovative homes that are unique, state of the art and elegant. The event will begin on August 23 and will run each weekend until September 7. The Showcase will feature 22 homes throughout the Park City and Heber Valley areas and will represent the standard in luxurious mountain living.

“This year we have a combined home worth of 70 million dollars represented in the Showcase,” said Geri Strand, executive officer of the Park City Area Home Builders Association. “This event provides an opportunity to view homes in exclusive developments that are generally not open to the public, such as Promontory and Tuhaye communities.”

The Showcase homes will be open for viewing from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on August 23, 24, 30, 31; Sept. 1, 6 and 7. Noteworthy features include an 11,500-square-foot home with a full sports court, flowing water features, yoga/pilates rooms, sophisticated wine tasting venues, state of the art theatre rooms, gourmet kitchens and breathtaking mountain views.

“We wanted to make the Showcase interactive this year, inspiring our guests in every aspect of design and innovation,” said Strand. “We will feature cooking demonstrations by top local chefs, offer tips from a golf pro using a state-of-the-art simulator and show trick shots provided by Park City’s best pool shark.”

In addition, ticket holders will have the opportunity to cast their vote for their favorite home and enter to win $15,000 worth of prizes. The People’s Choice Award is the award most coveted by the Showcase builders.

Discount tickets may be purchased in advance for $12 at, the Park City Concept Center, Timberlodge Collection and at all SmithsTix locations. Admission is free for children three and younger. Each ticket is good for all dates and times; however, there is only one entry allowed per home per ticket, thus additional tickets will need to be purchased to revisit a home. A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to the Park City Area Home Builders Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization working towards assisting local Park City community needs.
