Park City Municipal and Silver Mountain Sports Club & Spa are pleased to announce a new summer partnership during the Recreation Center renovation. The Silver Mountain Sports Club & Spa is offering City residents a three-month, full access membership beginning May 1. Park City Municipal is offering residents who purchase the temporary membership a $100 credit towards the cost of any Recreation Department program or service.

The City’s aquatic facilities will not be available this summer due to the Recreation Center renovation, explained Ken Fisher, Recreation Manager for Park City. “Thanks to the collaboration with the Silver Mountain Sports Club & Spa, Park City residents will have access to recreational and fitness pools this summer. We appreciate their willingness to create this special membership opportunity for Park City residents while our facilities are under renovation.”

The details of the program are simple. The first step is for a Park City resident or business to purchase a 3-month summer membership from Silver Mountain Sports Club & Spa between May 1 and July 1, 2011. Then, bring the membership receipt to the Park City Recreation Center at 1255 Iron Horse Drive to claim the $100 credit. The credit may be applied toward the cost of recreation programs or services, such as summer camps or sports programs. Golf or ice arena programs are not included in this offer. The $100 credit is available to the first 200 memberships, and limited to one credit per household or business. For a map of the Park City limits, visit www.parkcityrecreation.org.

Silver Mountain Sports Club & Spa has two locations, one located at Kimball Junction and the other located in Prospector Square. Both state-of-the art facilities combine approximately 50,000 square feet of modern exercise equipment with over 80 weekly specialty fitness classes included with membership. The Prospector location has an outdoor beach pool with waterslide and lazy river as well as a lap pool and indoor/outdoor hot tubs. The Kimball location has a lap pool and outdoor hot tub. The Park City Recreation Center is scheduled for an on-time completion in November 2011.
