Mountain Town Stages, a community based non-profit that presents, supports and fosters live music in Park City and Summit County, UT, today announced that it will change its name. From this day forward, the organization will be known as Mountain Town Music. As part of its new identity, Mountain Town Music is also unveiling a new logo.
Brian Richards, Mountain Town Music’s Community Conductor Of Musical Affairs (aka, Executive Director), is excited about the new identity. “Changing our name from Mountain Town Stages to Mountain Town Music reflects the evolution of our organization and its mission. When we started in 2000, it was more about building stages throughout the community where artists could perform. Live music is still the essential element of our organization, but we’ve grown beyond simply managing and building stages." In addition, Brian says "Mountain Town Music will strive to be the “musical resource” for the entire community-patrons, establishments and artists. Not only will we continue to provide and promote great music, but Mountain Town Music as an organization will expand its efforts in education and outreach.”
