Salt City Derby Girls announces the Leather vs Lace Charity Bout

Salt Lake City, UT. June 2nd, 2011 – The Salt City Derby Girls cordially invite everyone to the Leather vs Lace, charity bout on June 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM.
The bout will be open to the public and will be held at Taylorsville Recreational Center, 4948 S 2700 W, Taylorsville. This is open to all ages and is a charity bout held in conjunction with Bikers Against Child Abuse who will get 50 percent of all proceeds.

“As a mother, I am always concerned about children that are abused and am excited that I get a chance to help. We are all very excited to work with BACA in an effort to raise awareness and help reduce child abuse”, states Alevya Suffrin, who is a mother and member of Salt City Derby Girls. “We want everyone to participate and come watch the action.”

Cost for the event is $6.00 per person and children 8 and under get in for free. Tickets are available at the door for this event. 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
The Salt City Derby Girls league is an all-women’s roller derby league and is based in Salt Lake City, UT. The league was formed in 2005 and is composed of four local teams and one all-star traveling team. The Salt City Derby Girls league was the first all-girls flat track league formed in Utah.
