Notes from Recycle Utah:
Those engaged in land development, conservation, and management have come to envision a process that connects environmental, social, and economic health for a their region: green infrastructure. For the landscape designer, urban planner, and concerned citizen, green infrastructure advances smart conservation, large-scale thinking, and integrated action to plan, protect, and manage our open spaces for the benefit of both people and nature.
A five-day workshop from May 5th to May 9th 2008 will provide a hands-on experience in learning and applying green infrastructure techniques and methods. Sponsored by the Wasatch Front Regional Council and the Utah Department of Natural Resources, the “Green Infrastructure Workshop” will be held at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, located at 215 West South Temple. Tuition cost for the workshop is $125.00. Seating is limited.
Please refer to the attached flyer or Wasatch Front Regional Council’s website, www.wfrc.org, for more information. Additional details will be provided in the near future.
