In conjunction with the launch of the Historic Park City Alliance’s (HPCA) new website, the organization is holding a photo contest open to the public. Three winning photos that best capture the Historic District’s spirit and character will be chosen and featured on the HPCA’s website. The contest runs from 23 through March 31, and selected winners will receive an HPCA gift card, valid at over 100 participating businesses in the Historic District.
“People come to the Historic District for many reasons, but the biggest reason is to have fun,” explained Alison Butz, Executive Director of the HPCA. “Historic Park City is such an iconic area in town that has been a part of many peoples’ memories. We want locals and visitors to share their experiences and photos with us and add their stories to the Park City community.”
One grand prize winner will receive a $150 HPCA gift card, and two first place winners will receive $100 HPCA gift cards, to be redeemed at over 100 restaurants and shops in the Historic Park City District.
To enter, participants of any age can submit up to three photos to email@example.com no later than March 31, 2011 by 5pm. Photos must include the photographer’s full name, email address, physical address, day and evening phone number, location of the image(s) and a short description of the image(s). Photo submissions will be judged on visual quality and must adhere to the contest guidelines. Official rules and guidelines are posted on the HPCA website at www.historicparkcityutah.com. Winners will be chosen by March 31.
HISTORIC PARK CITY: 'THE MAIN ATTRACTION'
With a thriving business district that boasts more than 250 shops, restaurants, resort and cultural activities, art galleries and signature events, it's no doubt that Historic Park City is "The Main Attraction." The Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA), is dedicated to promoting Park City's Main Street and surrounding area as a viable, vital and dynamic place to live, work and play while also encouraging business development and enhancing activities that benefit the district.
Nestled in the valley bordered by Park City Mountain Resort on one side and Deer Valley Resort on the other, it is the heart and soul of our mountain town and the epicenter of all that is fun and spontaneous. Historic Park City serves as the backdrop to Park City's annual marquee events including the Sundance Film Festival, Park City Arts Festival, Park City Food & Wine Classic and Savor the Summit. Favorite locals' activities on Main Street include the Park Silly Sunday Market and Friday Night Gallery Stroll.
