Championship Course by Mark O’Meara Places in Top 35

PARK CITY, UT –October 23, 2007 – Talisker’s championship golf course at Tuhaye was ranked in the top 35 in Golfweek’s “Best List of New Courses for 2007.” Golfweek’s ranking, which appears in the October 20 edition of the magazine, is among the most prestigious in the industry. Tuhaye was ranked at number 33 and is the only golf course in Utah to be awarded this high honor.

Golfweek recognized 50 courses total and defines new courses as those having opened between 2005 and 2007. A panel of nearly 400 raters regularly submits ballots based on 10 criteria, each of which is graded on a 10-point scale. The scores for each course are averaged to get the overall rating.

Golfweek’s ranking system is the most respected in the industry,” said Eric Hastings, P.G.A., Head Golf Professional at Tuhaye. “We are so pleased to offer our Talisker members access to one of the most extraordinary new courses in North America.”

The golf community of Tuhaye is situated on a world-class 18-hole signature course designed by Masters and British Open champion, Mark O’Meara. The captivating 18-hole par-72 layout spans 5,200 to 7,800 yards and is surrounded by phenomenal mountain and lake views, including Deer Valley Resort and the Jordanelle Reservoir, and features all bent grass from tee to green. The golf clubhouse, which is part of Talisker Club Park – a collection of buildings that was designed by renowned architecture firm Robert A.M. Stern Architects, LLP – offers a luxurious golf experience including custom-designed member lockers, lounge areas, steam rooms, a snack bar, full-service pro shop and golf bag storage. Talisker also is designing two additional golf courses: the nine-hole par 3 Mustang and a proposed 18-hole course designed by Tom Fazio.
