DEER VALLEY RESORT, PARK CITY, UTAH (Summer, 2008) – As anticipated as warm summer weather itself, locals and visitors alike look forward to Deer Valley’s rich schedule of outdoor summer concerts at its beautiful Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. The 2008 summer concert line-up is as follows:

The Deer Valley Music Festival, presented by Utah Symphony | Utah Opera, runs from

July 19th to August 16th, 2008. Deer Valley Music Festival performances this summer include: Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture on Saturday, July 19th; Beethoven’s 5th Symphony on Friday, July 25th; Classical Mystery Tour on Saturday, July 26th; Time for Three and Dvorak’s New World Symphony on Friday, August 1st; Bravo Broadway in Broadway Rocks! on Saturday, August 2nd; Utah Opera present highlights of Gilbert and Sullivan’s on Friday, August 8th (final dress rehearsal open to the public on Thursday, August 7th) and please note that a previously scheduled performance on August 9th has been cancelled due to 24-hour closure of westbound I-80 that day beginning at 4 p.m.; The Mormon Tabernacle Choir with the Utah Symphony on Friday, August 15th (with a free dress rehearsal open to the public on Thursday, August 14th) ; and Gladys Knight on Saturday, August 16th (please note that eastbound I-80 will close for 24 hours on that evening, beginning at 7 p.m., so guests will need to plan accordingly, ensuring that they have left the Salt Lake valley prior to the road closure).

Utah Symphony will also perform “Patriotic Favorites” at Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater on Friday, July 4th at 7 p.m.

The St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Outdoor Concert Series, presented by Park City Performing Arts Foundation, will also be held at Deer Valley’s Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater this summer. This summer’s lineup will include Marc Cohn with Aimee Mann on July 12th, Feist on July 17th; Lucinda Williams on July 28th; Golden Dragon Acrobats on August 17th, Boz Scaggs on August 19th, Gipsy Kings on August 26th and Dwight Yoakam on August 30th. The Park City Jazz Festival, now in its 11th year, will take place at Deer Valley from August 22nd – 24th, 2008. Nationally renowned and emerging jazz musicians scheduled to perform are: Blues Traveler, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Blind Boys of Alabama, The Rippingtons, Joshua Redman with Christian McBride, Los Hombres C and much more.

Deer Valley welcomes the Frontier Bank Local Summer Concert Series presented by Mountain Town Stages for a fifth summer season. Ample parking, easy access and the sizeable grassy seating

area make this concert series a staple of Park City’s weekly social life. The event is free and features

local musical acts every Wednesday night, June 25th to August 27th,, (excluding August 6th) from 6 to 8 p.m. This year’s lineup includes Motherlode on June 25th; Joy & Eric band on July 2nd; Ryan

At all of Deer Valley’s summer concerts, picnics, coolers, glass containers and dancing are permitted, but animals are not. Guests may bring their own picnic baskets, purchase Deer Valley Gourmet Picnic Baskets (to order, call 435-645-6613 or visit 72-hour advance notice is required) or visit the convenient on-site concession stand. The concession serves Deer Valley favorites such as grilled chicken sandwiches with sautéed onions and mushrooms, burgers and garden burgers, chicken Caesar salads, the famed Deer Valley Turkey Chili (or a Turkey Chili Dog), Deer Valley’s jumbo cookies, homemade ice cream sandwiches and more.
