I have the best Christmas gift idea for you…..Just walk through the doors of the Friends of Animals Utah Furburbia store front and you’ll see several dozen furry options. Friends of Animals Utah’s mission is to protect and provide for animals while fostering an awareness of their importance in our lives. This mission includes the goal of improving the quality of life of animals and placing them into loving and permanent homes through rescue, extraordinary and compassionate care, and humane education. I was lucky enough to be able to foster two chocolate lab puppies for a few weeks while they were getting their vaccinations. It was a learning experience, to say the least. I’d never taken care of TWO puppies before. I loved it. I’m pretty sure they’ve been adopted now and have a home for the holidays. This Christmas season, adopt a pet from Friends of Animals Utah. Or, help out by volunteering or fostering a pet. If you choose to foster a pet, Furburbia provides you with absolutely everything you need: food, food/water bowls, leash, kennel, and the most important thing for puppies—piddle pads!
If you want to see some of the cute cats and dogs available for adoption, check out http://foautah.org/adoption-a-location-info/find-a-pet.html. Bring home a new family member this season from Friends of Animals Utah. Remember to tune into the Mountain Morning Show on the first and third Wednesday of the month. Cathy Clark will introduce us to a cat or dog who needs a home. Maybe that new home is with you.
